America Islands Tips Travel Tips

Most people have their own favourite place to take a vacation. The choice you make depends upon what you want from your time away from home. For many people, after many long months of hard work and dedication, a holiday in which they can lounge in the sun on a beach or by a pool is the choice, and it’s easy to see why. A holiday in an exotic destination is everyone’s true desire, but can you afford it?

In the not so distant past, the chance to visit exotic and exciting places was there only for the very wealthy. Today, we have cheap and frequent air travel to thank for easy access to some of the most beautiful and exclusive places on earth, and you may be surprised to find that a holiday in a stunning island paradise is well within your reach. We are about to tell you why you should consider vacation rentals in Maui, one of the most beautiful of the Hawaiian Islands. You may believe you can’t afford such a holiday, so prepare to be surprised!

Hawaii is one of the most spectacular and unique of the American states. This chain of small volcanic islands in the glorious waters of the Pacific Ocean provides a genuine opportunity to get away from it all, and to experience a life as far removed from your daily routine as is possible. Maui is perhaps the most wonderful of all the islands, and you will be treated to the famous Hawaiian welcome wherever you go, and features some of the most amazing beaches in the world, as well as much more.

Why a Rental is the Way to Go

Now, don’t get us wrong, we know there are some truly excellent hotels on Maui. Each is worthy of consideration as the service they provide is excellent. But, wouldn’t it be great to have your own private residence for the duration of your stay here? You can come and go as you please, without the restrictions sometimes afforded by hotels, and cook your own food in a private outdoor area. You may even get the use of a private garden and pool, plus you will have direct access to a stunning beach, as all of those in Maui are spectacular. All of this is possible with Maui beachfront rentals, and we recommend you take a closer look at some of those available as there are plenty to choose from.

For a family holiday, you might want to choose Turtle Beach Villa, a spectacular house in a stunning location on one of the best beaches in the world. As the name suggests, the beach is often home to local wildlife so is a great place if you are into nature, but it is the accommodation itself that really stands out.

You get luxurious fixtures and furnishings inside and out, with glorious gardens and a sensation private pool. There are no other guests to worry about, and the three bedrooms can sleep up to six people. Your outside cooking area is private and secluded with amazing views across the beach and the ocean, and you can take your time cooking fresh seafood bought from the local market, or any other meal you may desire.

This is why the rental idea is the best one: you are free to spend your time as you wish, so if you want to take a day lounging by the pool you can, and if you want to explore the island, you are free to come and go at your leisure. Check out the various rentals available – from single-bedroom residences in gated, exclusive communities that are perfect for a private and quiet romantic break, to larger houses suitable for groups – and compare the prices to that of a comparable hotel, and we are sure you will be surprised how cost-effective a rental can be.

What to See and Do on Maui

For many people, simply spending their time laying back om the beach or by the pool in the wonderful Hawaiian sun will be enough to make their holiday special, and it really is an experience that allows you to wind down and get away from it all. For others, sampling the local cuisine is a must, and there are many fine and quirky restaurants to check out.

We strongly recommend you stray a little from the beaten path to find some of the best, such as the excellent Eskimo Candy, which is tucked away down a little side street in Kihei. This place really is a hidden gem and, as it has only a few tables and chairs inside and out, you need to be lucky to get a seat. If you do, you must sample the local seafood and meat dishes which are as authentic as it gets, and if you can’t get a table, a take-away meal is simply a must!

Also, before you leave Maui, you have to take a guided tour to the most famous of the local landmarks, one of the volcanoes. These amazing, live volcanoes are unique in the world of nature, so to miss out on such a spectacular sight is not to happen. The kids will love it, too, and they will never see the likes of this anywhere else in the world.

You’ll enjoy the wonders of Maui with the freedom of your vacation rental, so check out the options now, and book a family holiday you will never forget.
